ITS Teaching and Learning (ITS-TL) provides instructional technology applications and integration to support the University’s academic mission. The division includes the following teams: Classroom Design, Lab Support, and Interactive, which supports Carolina’s Sakai collaborative learning environment, or system, and other learning technologies.
Teaching and Learning Service Areas
Classroom Hotline’s mission is to enhance the learning experience at the University of North Carolina by supporting and maintaining innovative, easy-to-use technology classrooms. We provide on-site and telephone support, as well as technology demonstrations, to aid faculty in integrating the newest technology into their lectures.
The mission of ITS Computer Labs is to assure access to computing resources for all Carolina faculty, staff and students by providing conveniently located public computer facilities with up-to-date, well-maintained hardware, software and printing services.
Our Interactive team (ITS-TLI) provides leadership, administration and support for a growing portfolio of learning technologies, including:
- Sakai, the campus collaborative learning environment
- Blackboard Collaborate web conferencing
- VoiceThread media presentations
