What are we going to do?

ITS Enterprise Applications together with Finance is replacing the self-service supplier portal in ConnectCarolina with PaymentWorks.

PaymentWorks is a cloud-based application that allows suppliers to update their own information, such as contact and banking information.

Why are we doing it?

Moving to PaymentWorks streamlines the onboarding process for suppliers and mitigates the risk of fraudulent supplier payments for the University.

How does this impact our UNC community?

This will impact:

Suppliers – existing suppliers who use the self-service Portal in ConnectCarolina will need to update their information in PaymentWorks.

Staff – people who work with suppliers today will need to onboard suppliers in PaymentWorks when the new system is implemented.

When is this happening?

The project started in November 2023, and the goal is to have existing suppliers who are using the ConnectCarolina self-service supplier portal moved to PaymentWorks by June 2024.
