The ITS Service Desk provides technical support to the UNC computing community.

How to get help

The ITS Service Desk location in the Undergraduate Library has normal business hours of Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Please check the library hours of operation to see amended building hours during holidays.

Service schedule

The Service Desk is available to provide technical support via walk-in Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., chat Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., phones Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., and a web support ticket can be submitted 24 hours per day. The Service Desk is closed on Saturday and Sunday.

How to drop off/pick up machines

The Service Desk offers drop-off and pick-up service via a contactless locker system at the Student Union for those who do not wish to come to our physical office space. First, you need to contact the Service Desk via chat or phone to initiate an incident. Then a Service Desk technician will provide you with details about the locker service. Please ensure that ALL data is backed up before dropping off a machine, and only visit the lockers after being instructed by a staff member.
