Continued Carolina Key rollout
ITS began phase three of the Carolina Key passwordless login project. Phase three opened Carolina Key enrollment to all ITS employees and ITEC members. Phase one of the project was a small test group and phase two opened enrollment to all students. The project team will use feedback from this expanded employee test group to identify and address potential issues before opening Carolina Key enrollment to all employees. The project involves many ITS groups, including Identity Management, Project Portfolio & Change Management and the Information Security Office.
Improved Help Portal user experience
On March 23, UNC’s Help Portal received a visual refresh with a new user experience. Changes included the addition of a new splash, or landing, page encouraging users to log in for a better user experience and a new on-brand color scheme for the homepage and Browse or Service page. Teams from ITS Customer Experience & Engagement, including the ServiceNow Engagement team, Digital Accessibility Office and ITS Communications, collaborated with ITS Infrastructure & Operations’ ServiceNow Platform team to implement the refresh.

Enterprise Applications
Launched case management software
In November, ITS Enterprise Applications helped UNC Global’s International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) office roll out a new immigration case management software, Sunapsis, to enable electronic streamlined processing and enhance user experience and compliance. Sunapsis captures University-sponsored immigration information in one system — instead of the two ISSS previously needed — and shares that information with ConnectCarolina and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security database.
