Cloud Advisory Group
The Information Technology Cloud Advisory Group is part of the University’s IT governance structure, providing recommendations to the Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer (CIO) regarding cloud strategies, priorities, policies, and standards for campus IT.

The Cloud Advisory Group is a steering committee with oversight of cloud management functions and is charged with:
- Accountability for the decisions and results of the labor effort of the advisory group
- Ensuring all stakeholders are informed regardless of their participation
- Ensuring consistency in actions
- Making evidence-based decisions
- Making policy and operational recommendations to the Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer
- Creating task forces to investigate and develop recommendations when appropriate or necessary
- Representing the interest of the University rather than individual departments
- Differentiating administrative, teaching, and research requirements and service needs
