Security assessment involves using various tools and techniques to evaluate computer systems for vulnerabilities to threats such as viruses. Consulting services are also available for advice on the many technical and legal issues surrounding the design and application of computer security on campus. The focus of these services is preventative. In general, they are available only to campus departments, not individuals.
