The Data Backup service provides enterprise backup solutions to the UNC campus. Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) is used to backup departmental servers.

In addition to this option hosted on campus, UNC personnel can also take advantage of the Iron Mountain backup service, which securely and automatically backs up data on a subscriber's Microsoft Windows desktop or laptop system.
