Table of Contents The Onyen is the campus sign-on name, usually 3 to 8 characters long, provided to UNC students, staff, and faculty. Originally the term "Onyen" was an acronym for the "Only Name You'll Ever Need", and it is intended to be the single sign-on name for most campus logins. When used with its associated password, your Onyen allows you access to numerous services across campus. These services include electronic mail, [ https://s4.its.unc.edu/SISMisc/browser/student_pass_z.jsp ] Student Central, a personal calendar, space for your own files and personal Web pages, DHCP registration for wireless internet access, and various [ http://help.unc.edu/?id=5792 ] Research Computing resources.
