Service Description

Activate an existing data jack or provide a new on-campus or off-campus wired connection to enable access to the campus data network. Service may require new cable and added electronics as part of the setup costs.

Hours of Availability

In-service and emergency support: 24 hours a day – 7 days a week (subject to periodic scheduled downtime for system maintenance and repair) New service provisioning: Monday through Friday – Normal University working hours (excluding observed holidays)

Customer Responsibilities

Customer must submit a service requisition with an approved funding source, along with the specific room/wall/desk location where service is required and bandwidth requirements.

How Do We Charge

No port activation cost. Customer pays one-time cost for wiring installation if necessary, based on cost of materials plus 10% overhead, and labor at $45 per hour.
