Time and Attendance Systems

Service Description

Development and support of the applications/servers that support the collection of employee time and leave information. Supplies time information to Paryroll to determine employee pay.

Application Development and Support is provided by ITS to Payroll Services at UNC Chapel Hill for the following applications:

  • TIM/Kronos

- This is a vendor supplied application that supports employees and functional staff to collect and approve work time and maintain accrual balances. It also allows for the request and approval of leave.

Hours of Availability

Applications are available 24X7, excluding planned outages, maintenance windows, and unavoidable events.

  • Administrative staff
  • Faculty
  • Employees

Customer Responsibilities

  • Identify a primary point of contact to work with ITS in coordinating the activities being performed by the service.
  • Provide requirements to the TIM Support team in order to facilitate the appropriate scoping, design, development, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Support requests relating to the use of the service will be initiated by opening an incident or request ticket with the ITS Service Desk.
