Sakai is enterprise-ready community source software called a collaborative learning environment (or CLE) that is currently being piloted at UNC-Chapel Hill.
It is currently being used by:
- Faculty who teach multiple sections but want to do so in a single course site
- Faculty who want to use the suite of group communication and collaboration tools
- Faculty/staff collaborating on a variety of projects and committees who use the site to store documents and use the collaboration tools.
Feedback from pilot users is invited to evaluate the efficacy of Sakai for teaching, research, outreach, and administrative purposes.
