Service Description
This service is provided by the UNC Operators (919-962-2211) who are responsible for routing calls from campus, state and national callers to all departments, schools and centers at UNC-Chapel Hill. Each operator workstation is equipped with T-Metrics software that accesses a campus phone directory database (updated daily by ITS Telecommunications).
During business hours, Operators answer each call and either provides the information requested, and/or route the call directly to the corresponding University unit. All calls are tracked as to length and time of call for customer service performance reviews.

- Directory Assistance
- Event Information and Conferences
- Meet-Me conference call scheduling
- Performance and event schedules
- Campus and local transit
- Emergency notification/information
Hours of Availability
Normal Business Hours (excluding University holidays)
Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Summer Hours (June – August)
Monday –Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
No Saturday service
