Dedicated Alarm Line Service

Service Description

Dedicated alarm line service provides a single dedicated POTS telephone line, with service restricted to local calls only (toll-restricted), for use by campus faculty and staff to monitor specific departmental alarms (i.e. freezer alarms).

Hours of Availability

In-service and emergency support: 24 hours a day – 7 days a week (subject to periodic scheduled downtime for system maintenance and repair) New service provisioning: Monday through Friday – Normal University working hours (excluding observed holidays)

Customer

All UNC-CH faculty and staff

Customer Responsibilities

Customer must submit a service requisition with an approved funding source. Customer is responsible for providing all premise equipment (i.e. alarm sensors, alarm contacts, etc.) and interconnection to the phone jack.

How Do We Charge

$30 per month recurring fee.
