Service DescriptionThis service is provided through the management and operation of convenient on-campus computer hardware repair centers which provide authorized repair services for Lenovo and Apple computers. The Computer Repair Center (CRC) has been recognized by Lenovo for the quality of repairs as well as its ability to quickly and efficiently support the thousands of Lenovo computers on campus. In 2009 the CRC completed almost 9,800 repairs for campus customers. The CRC also provides authorized warranty repairs of Lexmark printers and non-warranty repairs of Hewlett Packard laser printers. Service goals include:
- Warranty repairs completed within 24 hours
- Insurance repairs completed in 5 – 7 working days
- Keeping the customer advised on status of repair
Hours of AvailabilityThe CRC staff are available Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. Computers may be submitted for repair during ITRC hours which are listed at help.unc.edu/2083.
