Service Description
This service is for a traditional phone connection (POTS = Plain Old Telephone System) or a VoIP phone connection, if available. Since the phone numbers and the traditional phone lines are assigned out of the AT&T central office on Rosemary Street, ITS manages the enabling or disabling for a functional phone line, assuming there is usable copper cable from the building telecom closet/s to the end user location. The service also includes the proper updating of the PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) registry tables, which have the number to physical location data stored to be used by first responders in case of a 911 emergency request. The VoIP connection is slightly different from the traditional phone.- Land lines (Centrex, POTS)
- Install and/or connect wall outlet
- Configure line with carrier to central office
- Land lines (VoIP)- MAC (moves, adds & changes)
- Install (if necessary wall outlet)
