Teaching and Learning Innovation: Taming the Tiger
On Friday, April 11, ITS Teaching and Learning will host Malcolm Brown, director of academic computing at Dartmouth College, who will present “Teaching and Learning Innovation: Taming the Tiger.” The event will take place from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in Toy Lounge at Dey Hall. Brown will focus on finding ways to innovate successfully within the institutional context. Technological innovation in teaching and learning is especially challenging given the rapid pace of change in the tools. Brown will describe a collaborative preparation process that can assist with a more active pursuit of innovation.
In addition to his work at Dartmouth College, Brown has worked actively with the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI) as a member of ELI’s Horizon Project Advisory Board. He currently serves as the editor of the New Horizons column for the EDUCAUSE Review.
