ITS’ William Cameron to present at CTC Update

Carolina Technology Consultants (CTC) will host ITS Assistant Vice Chancellor for Information Security, William Cameron, at a “Meet the …AVC of Security” session.

The CTC Update will be on Tuesday, March 25, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Global Education Center Auditorium. Cameron will outline major Information Security initiatives and answer questions from the audience.

Dartmouth’s Malcolm Brown to present “Taming the Tiger” April 11

Malcolm Brown, director of academic computing at Dartmouth College, will present “Teaching and Learning Innovation: Taming the Tiger” on Friday, April 11, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in Toy Lounge at Dey Hall.

The presentation will focus on finding ways to innovate successfully within the institutional context. Technological innovation in teaching and learning is especially challenging given the rapid pace of change in the tools. Brown will describe a collaborative preparation process that can assist with a more active pursuit of innovation.

ITS Remedy Services builds change planning system

In keeping with ITS’ move toward Information Technology Service Management (ITSM), the ITS Remedy Services team has developed an application for tracking and planning IT service changes. Several groups within ITS will pilot the application this month. ITS will use this tool while developing a long-term solution.
