IAIG to host Second Life update

The upcoming Instructional Applications Interest Group meeting will feature an update on several Second Life projects by Kathy Kyzer of ITS Teaching and Learning and Larry Taylor of the School of Information and Library Science. The update will take place Thursday, April 3, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in room 328 of the Health Sciences Library.

Kyzer and Taylor presented “Immerse Yourself: Delivering Instruction in Virtual Worlds” at the 2008 Teaching and Learning with Technology Conference. A webcast of their presentation is available.

The IAIG, sponsored by ITS Teaching and Learning, provides a professional networking venue for faculty and staff who work with instructional technologies. Membership is open to all University employees. Monthly meetings include time for peer support, discussion of instructional technology topics and occasional presentations.
