ITS facilitates Student Government survey on campus wireless

January 30, 2008 at 9:22 am | In Features

ITS has helped Student Government design a survey about student satisfaction with the campus wireless network. The survey will determine what services students use and what changes they would like to see regarding wireless Internet and related services.

“We’d like to have feedback on the quality of the existing service and where the coverage holes are from the student perspective,” said Jim Gogan, director of networking. “We’re always looking for ways to get feedback from our user community in terms of where there are issues with the service and where it can be enhanced.”

Representatives from the Student Government Technology Committee met with ITS Networking to learn about the service and what questions might be most helpful on a survey. The students then drafted the survey on their own. ITS is helping them host it at http://its.unc.edu/tl/wireless_survey.php.

The survey will be available for two weeks. All students who complete the survey will be entered to win an 8GB iPod Touch.
