Larry Conrad named Vice Chancellor for Information Technology and CIO

Larry D. Conrad has been named Vice Chancellor for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Conrad previously served as Chief Information Officer and Associate Vice President for Technology Integration at Florida State University. With more than 35 years experience in the field of information technology, Conrad has served in both corporate and university settings. ITS Computer Lab in SASB offers wireless projection

ITS recently installed technology in three ITS Computer Lab meeting rooms in SASB-South that allows users to wirelessly connect their computer to a projector.

The Road to ITS: Ingrid Camacho

Camacho, a native of Puerto Rico, had just graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a B.A. in Advertising and Communications. Not fluent in spoken English, she decided to join the United States Army and take advantage of the opportunity to attend – along with other Puerto Ricans – the English language school at Lakeland, Texas.

ITS upgrades campus data backup solution

Upgrades to the system make it more visually appealing, easier to use and more streamlined. They also make it easier for campus users to sign in, by using their Onyen to login for access to registration, installation and data retrieval.
“These updates make everything that Iron Mountain does as simple as it could be,” said Chris Williams of ITS. “In addition, they make Iron Mountain available to customers with Windows Vista and Tablets, not just Windows XP.”
