ResNET provides support and educational programs to campus residents
September 27, 2007 at 7:07 am | In Events, Features, Instructional NewsStudents have only been on campus about a month, but many have already picked up viruses and malware on their laptops. That’s why ResNET begins its first round of SUVs and educational programs this week.
During ResNET’s SUV (Spyware, Updates and Virus) programs, residential computing consultants (RCCs) physically clean and detail laptops, remove malware and install the latest software patches to students’ computers for free.
In addition, ResNET RCCs coordinate educational and service programs for campus residents throughout the semester. These events are held in campus residence halls, and cover a wide range of topics such as computer maintenance, multimedia, Internet, messaging, educational applications, new technology and security.
