Webmasters to host NCSU site redesign leader

The next Webmasters meeting, on Thursday, June 7, will feature a presentation by Jason Simon, Director of Marketing and Interim Director of Creative Services in the NC State University Office of Public Affairs. Simon will share his group’s experiences with a major Web site redesign.

NC State is in the midst of an extensive process of rebuilding and creating a new central Web presence. The project has involved managing a 45-person university-wide committee, garnering support from university administration, selecting and implementing a content management system, working with an outside interactive agency, implementing Flash video, designing and developing content for nearly 200 new top-level pages and extensive work in gathering campus input.

Please join the Webmasters group on Thursday, June 7, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in the Freedom Forum room of Caroll Hall. The presentation will be followed by time for Jason to answer questions.

Webmasters meets monthly to discuss issues that affect Webmasters across the UNC-Chapel Hill campus. Any UNC-Chapel Hill faculty or staff interested in participating can join the listserv.
