UNC-Chapel Hill selected to participate in course redesign
February 21, 2007 at 8:33 am | In FeaturesUNC-Chapel Hill, through a proposal submitted by the Provost’s Office, ITS Teaching and Learning and the Romance Languages Department, has been selected by the National Center for Academic Transformation to participate in the first round of its Colleagues Committed to Redesign (C2R) program.
The C2R program provides support for higher education institutions engaged in ambitious course redesign efforts.

ITS, RENCI to host lecture on distributed computing
February 20, 2007 at 9:55 am | In Events, FeaturesMiron Livny, a professor of computer science at the University of Wisconsin and a well-known expert on distributed processing and high throughput computing, will provide an overview of two national distributed computing facilities Feb. 23 at 10:15 a.m. in 011 Sitterson Hall.
In his lecture, “Submitting Locally and Running Globally - the GLOW and OSG Experience,” Livny will focus on two projects that utilize grids and distributed computing: the Grid Laboratory Of Wisconsin (GLOW) and the Open Science Grid (OSG).

ERP RFI for Implementation Services released

The RFI informs vendors about the University’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation needs and expectations and allows them to supply basic information about what they can provide.
