CCI printing goes wireless
September 25, 2006 at 7:00 am | In Features, ITS AnnouncementsToday, ITS rolls out a new capability for students’ CCI laptops–the ability to print from their personal computer directly to any ITS Student Lab on campus.
The CCI Printing program allows students to download software to any Windows-based CCI computer. Once the software has been installed, students can print to the ITS printing queue, and access their file to preview and print at a print release station at any ITS Student Lab. The release stations hold print request data for an hour after the request is made, and display helpful information such as the length of the document and how much printing money the students have on their OneCard.

Registration opens for 10th annual CTC conference

Sept. 22 Freaky Friday to discuss campus disaster planning activities

There is an Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity Committee, a Chancellors’ Committee on Pandemic Influenza, an Emergency Warning Committee and a group managing a FEMA grant for disaster mitigation. While at first glance there might seem to be considerable overlap in the work of these groups, in fact they are working to address very different problems.

CRA to spearhead Computing Community Consortium

Dr. Daniel A. Reed, vice chancellor for information technology and CIO at the University, chairs the CRA.
