ITS offers annual billing for data backup solution

In response to customer requests, ITS has changed to annual billing for its data backup solution for UNC-Chapel Hill faculty and staff. Departments are now billed at the end of each fiscal year, with an annual cost of $108. The service is renewed automatically for customer convenience.

ITS to resume ConsiderIT series

Faculty, TAs and staff are invited to share and discuss selected teaching and learning issues related to technology in an informal setting. New change notification process streamlines delivery

On Aug. 2 ITS is launching a new dedicated listserv, its_changes@listserv.unc.edu, and news feed option to streamline the delivery of ITS change notices. These new options will replace all change notification vehicles currently in place, which use listservs designed for discussion or the sharing of other types of information.

ITS groups merge to form University and Student Services

ITS Enterprise Applications’ Business Services and Student Information Services groups merged into one group, University and Student Services, on July 1.

The merge offers both groups the opportunity to share technical knowledge across teams and develops benefits in both areas, according to Stephanie Szakal, assistant vice chancellor for Enterprise Applications.
