New search plugins available for Mozilla browsers
May 31, 2006 at 9:09 am | In ITS Announcements, Service UpdatesITS Knowledge Management has created search plugins for help.unc.edu and search.unc.edu so that customers can search the sites from the search bar at the top of their browser. Users who install these downloads can search the UNC sites without having to visit their home pages.

Reminder: Computing the Future May 30

Scanning services to move to Undergraduate Library
May 26, 2006 at 8:17 am | In ITS Announcements, Instructional News, Service UpdatesITS Infrastructure and Operations’ Scanning Services is moving on June 3, 2006, from Hanes Hall to Room 015 in the R.B. House Undergraduate Library. The telephone number will remain the same (962-5283), but the campus box number will change to CB 3460.
Scanning Services provides exam scanning for instructors who use Scantron answer sheets. It also processes Carolina Course Evaluations.
May 26 Freaky Friday to feature Business Services update on FCMS

Built upon a shared framework, FCMS consists of four subsystems, each focused on the special needs of individual business units at the Friday Center. The development team (Xiaoping Wu and Cynthia O’Daniel) will share how FCMS handles various requirements including course and program registration, room reservation and the payment process.
As usual, this week’s Freaky Friday will take place at 1 p.m. in ITS Franklin G102.
