ITS staff recognized at IT Awards Banquet

ITS was well represented at the 14th Annual Information Technology Awards given on April 26, 2006. The following staff members were recognized:

James Ervin—Infrastructure & Operations
Steve Kirby—Teaching & Learning
Kent Pennington—User Support & Engagement
Christian Schlatter—Telecommunications
Christy Suits—User Support & Engagement

Dan Reed, CIO and vice chancellor for information technology, noted that at UNC-Chapel Hill, well over 1,000 people are engaged directly or indirectly in IT support. Reed and Robyn East, deputy vice chancellor, handed out the awards.
