UNC webmasters provide resources via wiki

UNC Webmasters is a peer support group for those at Carolina involved in anything Web-related, from interface design to content management to systems administration. Monthly meetings, held the first Thursday of each month from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in 404 Hanes Hall, provide opportunities for peer networking, presentations on campus Web resources, and discussions of current or new Web technologies.

Triangle-area bloggers networking event Nov. 15

Bloggers and podcasters in the Triangle area are invited to the Triangle Bloggers Blast Nov. 15, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the American Tobacco Historic District in Durham, N.C. Sponsored by several media and technology organizations, including Carolina’s own ibiblio.org, the Triangle Bloggers Blast features a tour of the new WUNC radio studios, followed by remarks from Joan Siefert Rose and Keith Westin of WUNC, Michael Goodmon of ATHD, Stephen Fraser of Lulu.com, John Conway of WRAL.com and Henry Copeland of blogads.

UNC CAUSE 2005 features 11 UNC–Chapel Hill presenters

UNC–Chapel Hill was represented by 11 technology professionals at this year’s UNC CAUSE conference, an annual conference for IT professionals from the 16-campus UNC system. These 11 technology professionals presented on a variety of topics, including emerging industry trends, planning for expected campus growth, making the most of emerging instructional technologies and providing high-quality customer service. The Office of the CIO is honored to have had so many of its own professionals lead presentations at this important state-wide event.
