UNC CAUSE 2005 plenary speakers announced

UNC CAUSE 2005, the UNC system’s conference for technology professionals in higher education, is pleased to announce this year’s featured speakers: Jerry Hunter (vice president of common infrastructure systems for Sun Microsystems, Inc.), Peter Alterman (assistant CIO for electronic authentication for the National Institutes of Health), and Albert Schneider (director of information technology and business information executive for IBM Research).

The conference will be held in Wilmington, N.C., from Nov. 8 to 10 with over 300 attendees expected. Learn more about this year’s featured speakers at the conference web site’s schedule page.

Carolina Technology Consultants (CTC) retreat Oct. 20

ITS is sponsoring this year’s Carolina Technology Consultants Retreat on Oct. 20 so that current CTC members may attend this annual event for no charge. The retreat, held on campus at Sitterson and Peabody Halls, includes multiple presentations lead by some of Carolina’s own technology professionals.
