Potential ITS Franklin power outage March 26
March 18, 2005 at 4:03 pm | In ITS Announcements, Service UpdatesIf new electrical equipment arrives as scheduled, there will be a complete power outage at the 440 W. Franklin St. building from Saturday, March 26, at 5:30 p.m. until no later than Sunday, March 27, at 7:00 a.m. During the outage, all network computer services will be unavailable to buildings for which cable is routed through 440.
Those buildings are the Administrative Office Building, 308 W. Rosemary, 206 W. Franklin, 337 W. Rosemary and 208 W. Franklin.

New equipment increases campus machine room cooling capacity
March 17, 2005 at 4:32 pm | In Features, Service UpdatesAll enterprise level computer systems are monitored continuously by the ITS Enterprise Management Center (EMC), a part of ITS Infrastructure and Operations. Each computer system requires a carefully controlled environment with specific humidity and temperature levels; each enterprise level system also emits large amounts of heat which must be controlled at all times.
