UNC-ALL
The UNC-ALL (UNC Administration of Lifelong Learning) system will support degree non-creditable programs served by the University’s continuing and distance education community. This project is the design and implementation of a centralized registration and administrative system, which will scale to support all schools and units at UNC-CH and can be configured to address their divergent needs.
The benefits of the UNC-ALL project are reflected in five key areas:
• Standardization of continuing and distance education registration processes across schools and units at UNC-CH.
• Ensuring continuing and distance education registration data collected in different schools and units are comparable, consistent and accurate.
• Cost reduction by providing a robust, centralized system and data instead of scattered, redundant systems and duplicated data.
• Error reduction by providing common interfaces to University’s services and systems.
• Improved service to the large continuing and distance education community.
The first phase of the UNC-ALL project will focus on the implementation of core registration and administrative functions including issuance of standard University person identifiers through ConnectCarolina, credit card payment system (TouchNet) integration, Blackboard enrollment automation, and various reporting capabilities. UNC-ALL will be deployed to five units in two schools after the first phase implementation is completed.
