ITRC expects the unexpected during school startup

The spring semester is barely over before preparations get underway at the ITS Response Center (ITRC) for the fall school startup. Come mid-June each year, the ITRC begins to plan for additional staff and tweaks the approach to handling the over 5000 help requests that are generated during the first 12 days of school.

University operators provide a Carolina welcome

ITS Web Services designs for different audiences

ITS Web Services recently completed the creation of a new Web site for UNC-BEST (UNC Baccalaureate Education in Science and Teaching) and a site redesign for the Department of Romance Languages and Literature publication series “North Carolina Studies in Romance Languages and Literatures

Each Web site speaks to very different audiences. UNC-BEST appeals to young adults while a typical visitor to the North Carolina Studies in Romance Languages and Literatures Web site is an academic searching for a publisher. Continue Reading

  • ITRC, R. B. House Undergraduate Library – Breakroom

2008 UNC CAUSE call for proposals

Proposals for presentations at the 2008 UNC CAUSE conference are now being accepted through Aug. 15. The 2008 UNC CAUSE conference will be held at the Greensboro Marriot Downtown from Nov. 17-19. The theme of the conference is “The University of North Carolina Tomorrow: Striving for Excellence through Technology and Collaboration.”

The program committee is inviting proposals for presentations, discussions, and Birds of a Feather groups. Proposals should be submitted through the 2008 UNC CAUSE Web site by Aug. 15. Notification of successful presenters will be made by the end of August. Continue Reading
