Webmasters meeting

The next Webmasters meeting will take place Thursday, April 3, at 2 p.m. in ITS Manning 5106. The group will discuss how future meetings can be structured to increase participation in the group. Attendees are invited to bring up topics of interest at the meeting.

UNC-Chapel Hill Webmasters meets monthly to discuss issues that affect webmasters across campus. Any UNC-Chapel Hill faculty or staff interested in participating can attend the meeting and/or join the listserv.

The upcoming Instructional Applications Interest Group meeting will feature an update on several Second Life projects by Kathy Kyzer of ITS Teaching and Learning and Larry Taylor of the School of Information and Library Science. The update will take place Thursday, April 3, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in room 328 of the Health Sciences Library.

The upcoming Instructional Applications Interest Group meeting will feature an update on several Second Life projects by Kathy Kyzer of ITS Teaching and Learning and Larry Taylor of the School of Information and Library Science. The update will take place Thursday, April 3, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in room 328 of the Health Sciences Library.

ITS’ NAC featured in University Business magazine

Network Access Control, or NAC, controls access to a network, where users and devices can go on the network and what they can do on it.

ITS’ NAC solution is highlighted in this month’s University Business magazine. The article, titled “Keeping an Eye on the Network” discusses three common approaches to NAC and features ITS’ network security appliance-based NAC.


New ACD makes 962-HELP even better

When you get 240 phone calls a day, with an average of four people on call to answer them, you have to know you can count on your phone system. Color printing debuts at Student Union computer lab

A color printing program now allows students to print color jobs from the computers located in the Student Union computer lab at a cost of 30 cents per side. Double-sided printing is not recommended for color printing, but is an option for printing any document. Continue Reading
