A seminar on Solaris Zones addressing what they are, how they work and how to configure them will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 19 from 9 to 10 a.m. in ITS Franklin G102 A practical workshop will follow from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. If attending the workshop portion of the presentation, please bring a laptop with 3 GB of disk space and a DVD drive. The labs will be done in a VMware Solaris image.
Larry D. Conrad has been named Vice Chancellor for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Conrad previously served as Chief Information Officer and Associate Vice President for Technology Integration at Florida State University. With more than 35 years experience in the field of information technology, Conrad has served in both corporate and university settings.
