Information Security Workshop

Facebook is used by over 90 percent of undergraduate students at UNC-Chapel Hill. Are there ways instructors can use Facebook for instruction-related activities?

Stephanie S. Morgan, teaching fellow in the Department of English and Comparative Literature, will discuss her pedagogical and disciplinary uses of Facebook as a teaching tool on Wednesday, May 16 at 2 p.m. in the Pleasants Family Room at Wilson Library.

Carolina Family Scholarship highlighted in University Campaign mailing

Members of UNC-Chapel Hill’s faculty and staff have a letter in their mailbox from Heather S. Tate, Class of 2010.

In her letter, Tate explains that she was awarded a Carolina Family Scholarship which allows her, as the child of a UNC-Chapel Hill employee, to attend Carolina without causing undue financial burden on her family. The letter is part of the University Campaign fundraising effort. Each year, more than 1,500 faculty and staff designate their donations to the fund of their choice. Continue Reading
