Our Focus
Knowledge Management/Web Application Development is responsible for the ITS knowledge base and for managing the development and maintenance for the application and documentation that supports the ITS Response Center and its online companion, help.unc.edu. This team will provide enterprise Web application development support for the campus-wide enterprise content management solution and the ERP project’s portal.
Help & Support Site
The help and support site, located at help.unc.edu, is an application which provides a centralized point of access to information technology support at UNC Chapel Hill. This support includes written documentation (tutorials, FAQ's, policies, etc.), troubleshooters and references to other resources and services. Help.unc.edu gives users the means to find and apply appropriate solutions to their technology needs. This site is designed to encourage users to find and apply these solutions themselves, thereby educating them and increasing their technical abilities.

Support Knowledge Base
The support knowledge base is a large collection of technical support documents. The document collection is maintained by IT Staff in various divisions through the Knowledge Management Tool (KMT). This web-based tool enables the collaboration of technical experts to write and publish quality support documents. The main access to the support knowledge base is help.unc.edu.
