CRC Remedy Requests YTY Comparison

Total Remedy Requests reflect the number of requests for help that are submitted to the CRC. These numbers are generated from the Remedy CRC application. Hardware repair requests are primarily for IBM equipment. Not all repairs are warranty or insurance repairs. Equipment that is not under warranty is repaired as well. Note that not all tickets result in repairs and that non-warranty and non-insurance repairs are also made.

Warranty Repairs

Warranty Repairs reflects the number of warranty replacements annually for the IBM CCI machines. The numbers come from the IBM warranty reports. Personal CCI machines have a 4 year warranty period, while departmental machines have a 3 year warranty.

Insurance Repairs

Insurance Repairs reflects the number of repairs that are performed. Safeware Insurance provides the insurance. The coverage protects the owner from spills, drops, theft, and loss. The owner is responsible for completing the paperwork and submitting their claims to Safeware. These numbers are generated from the Remedy CRC application.
