Office of the CIO

The Office of the CIO plans high-level, long-term organizational goals, strategic direction, performance management and process management, as well as addressing day-to-day operational concerns like resource management, operational planning and strategy alignment. Communication Technologies

Enterprise Applications

ITS Enterprise Applications develops and implements software solutions for University enterprises, schools and divisions. The team supports Student Administration, Human Resources, Payroll and Finance components of ConnectCarolina; enterprise reporting and data systems (including InfoPorte); and systems specific to University units such as The Friday Center and Energy Services. Finance & Administration

The Finance & Administration division provides financial management, human resources support and administrative services to ITS. The unit handles financial planning and budgeting, human resources, benefits, parking, facilities management and facility-related security. Learn more…

Information Security

The University’s Information Security Office oversees the security of the University’s electronic information. The Information Security Office is responsible for coordinating and ensuring that information security across the University is consistent with industry best practices and the University’s compliance obligations. IT Infrastructure & Operations

Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) manages the ITS data centers and provides around-the-clock support for ITS business computing activities. I&O also supports the infrastructure for the campus desktop computers and maintains the infrastructure for the operating systems for non-research ITS servers and for disaster recovery and business continuity activities for ITS.
