About Infobits
TL Infobits was an electronic service of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill ITS Teaching and Learning division. Each month the ITS-TL's Academic Outreach Consultant monitored and selected from a number of information and instructional technology sources that came to her attention and provided brief notes for electronic dissemination to educators.
Infobits began publication in 1993 by the UNC-Chapel Hill Institute for Academic Technology (IAT) and was titled IAT Infobits. With the July 1998 issue, the title changed to CIT Infobits, reflecting the change in sponsorship from the IAT to the UNC-Chapel Hill Center for Instructional Technology (CIT). In 2006, the title was changed to TL Infobits to reflect its sponsorship by the UNC-Chapel Hill ITS Teaching and Learning division. Infobits ceased publication in December 2009. All back issues will be added to the University Archives for preservation.
