"Anti-Plagiarism Strategies for Research Papers"
Robert Harris, author of The Plagiarism Handbook, offers a number of suggestions on how to detect, prevent, and understand plagiarism. He offers instructors strategies for writing assignments that discourage plagiarism, as well as strategies for detecting plagiarism while reading student writing. The site also provides links to Internet paper mills and detection services.

Bruce Leland, Rhetoric and Composition professor at Western Illinois University, provides a list of strategies for teachers to consider for addressing the issue of plagiarism. He also lists additional readings at the bottom of the page.
"Thinking and Talking About Plagiarism"
Nick Carbone, in Bedford/St. Martin's TechTips, criticizes companies like Turnitin for placing too much emphasis on detecting plagiarism rather than effectively teaching about writing with sources. In this article he offers resources for assignment design and for talking about plagiarism with students.
