What is the Control Center?

The Control Center is responsible for the day-to-day management of the central computer and networking hardware facilities. By monitoring these systems and devices the Control Center is able to ensure that all equipment is fully functional and responsive to user needs.

What are the hours of operation for the Control Center?

The Control Center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. There is always a human presence in the Control Center, and this schedule is maintained by three rotating shifts

Where is the Control Center located?

The Control Center is located in suite 3100 of ITS Manning.

What systems does the Control Center monitor?

The Control Center monitors ITS Central Computing Servers, the entire University Network, Library Sciences Computers, LearnNC Computers and Ibiblio.

Tonya Heath, Operations Manager of the Control Center, who reports directly to Bruce Egan, Director of the ITS Service Desk.

How many employees staff the Control Center?

There are a total of 15 members of the Control Center staff.
