JAWS screen reader now free to campus
The UNC-Chapel Hill Department of Disability Services has licensed a networked version of JAWS 7.0. JAWS, the most popular screen reader worldwide, provides access to software and Internet sites for people with disabilities by working with a PC to read aloud information on the screen.
ITS’ research computing cluster makes a difference
ITS’ new Dell research computing cluster, Topsail, has already had a positive impact on campus research since its go-live date of March 27. The cluster now has 61 users enrolled from departments such as chemistry, marine science, economics and biophysics.
