Enterprise Portal
Our Focus
Enterprise Portal is a Java team focused on facilitating the release of ITS information and services as well as campus-unit information and services via a consolidated entry point. The Enterprise Portal team also provides programming support for SOA-based services and other groups, helping to meet the demands of supporting application infrastructure and core software architecture.
The Enterprise Portal team is responsible for developing and maintaining the new enterprise Web portal that serves as the gateway to the University’s new administrative systems including online applications and other resources. Initially guided by the needs of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project, the Enterprise Portal team is constructing a solid foundation on which to build-out the University’s long-term portal services.
The Portal Project
The Portal Project is the implementation of a new enterprise Web portal to enhance the delivery of transactional, online services - including role-based processes, applications, communities and content - to University stakeholders. It is an important companion project supporting the University’s ERP project, which is replacing out-of-date legacy systems by creating a new integrated management solution for student, human resources, payroll and financial systems. The Portal will serve as the gateway for users to access the new ERP systems.
