Portal
The Portal Project is the implementation of a new enterprise Web portal to enhance the delivery of transactional, online services - including role-based processes, applications, communities and content - to University stakeholders. It is an important companion project supporting the University’s ERP project, which is replacing out-of-date legacy systems by creating a new integrated management solution for student, human resources, payroll and financial systems. The Portal will serve as the gateway for users to access the new ERP systems (ConnectCarolina).
During the initial phase of the Portal implementation, the project team will construct a solid foundation on which to build-out the University’s future portal services. In essence, the Portal will be built in stages, continuing to grow and evolve as ConnectCarolina and other University systems become available.
