What is Software Downloads and Updates?
This service provides software media to UNC-Chapel Hill Students, Faculty, Staff and Visiting Scholars. This software is maintained both as a repository of free shareware downloads (shareware.unc.edu) and licensed software products (software.unc.edu). Procedures for obtaining software will vary depending on the license agreement.
How to Get Started
To browse the available shareware programs, visit shareware.unc.edu and select the Software link. Shareware is listed alphabetically by title.
To obtain licensed software, look at the list of Available Software and review the license information associated with the program. You will need an authorized Onyen to see this information.
If you have problems with the Shareware Site, email shareware@unc.edu. For further information about licensed software, contact the Software group by emailing software@unc.edu.
