Password resets are the most common request to the ITS Response Center, the equivalent of the constant work of two full-time employees per year. A combined initiative by the
ITRC and
Identity Management will automate password resets for the RAC-F system, removing almost a third of the ITRC’s password reset load and lightening the workload of several related personnel across campus.

ITS Web Services has completed a new Web site for the UNC-Chapel Hill American Indian Center. The site reinforces the UNC-Chapel Hill identity while promoting a unique look and feel for the Center.
ITS Web Services worked closely with the Center to meet its needs -- a professional, attractive Web site for a small budget in a short time frame. The site went live less than a month after Web Services' initial client meeting with the Center.
"I loved how they took off on the project -- words cannot describe how excited we all were after a few meetings to plan the site," said Brandi Brooks of the American Indian Center. "We loved their great eye for design -- the earthy tones speak to what the Center's going to do. They've given us an identity that's associated with UNC-Chapel Hill, but we also have our own unique look."
The site uses Adobe Contribute, which provides an easy-to-use, straightforward interface for Center staff to update and manage content. "Billy and Andy set up the software on my computer and explained to me how to use it," said Brooks. "The training was very informative, and they customized the software so that the headings and colors were already formatted correctly. It's so unbelievably easy to work with Contribute."
Web Services, a part of ITS Communications, is happy to meet with anyone interested in discussing Web sites and CMS technology. To contact the group about a project, please fill out a project request form. More information is available here.
The mission of the Carolina American Indian Center is to bridge the richness of North Carolina's American Indian cultures with the strengths of Carolina's research, education and teaching. For more information, visit their new site.
