The topic for the next Webmasters meeting will be the new Joomla! 1.5 RC1 release. ITS Web Services will present Joomla! 1.5, which it has been testing for more than a month, and discuss its latest features and improvements.

Within about two weeks after receiving their Carolina Computing Initiative (CCI) laptop, more than 80 percent of new students will receive a personal phone call from an ITS Response Center (ITRC) staff member offering technical support and a Carolina welcome.

On-call pay and shift premium pay sheets for biweekly #02 ending Sunday, July 22, will be due to the designated boxes or to the ITS business office no later than 10 a.m. on Monday, July 23.

ITS Teaching and Learning and the Renaissance Computing Institute (RENCI) are sponsoring a demonstration of Croquet by Dr. Julian Lombardi, one of the original architects of OpenCroquet, and Dr. Marilyn Lombardi on Tuesday, July 24 at 1 p.m. in ITS Franklin G102.
ITS Teaching and Learning has initiated a project to track the deployment and use of classroom capture-collaboration systems at UNC-Chapel Hill.
