Our Focus
The UNC-CH Data Warehouse, in its current form, is a repository of integrated detail and summary data drawn from the current Human Resources and Finance administrative systems. It includes data structures, physical databases, parameterized reports, reporting applications and training materials as well as a client base of over 700 unique users. The Data Warehouse team developed the reports, data structures and load routines that form the infrastructure of the current warehouse and provides the technical services necessary to maintain and enhance the Finance and Human Resources warehouse components.
As the University upgrades its administrative systems over the next few years, the Data Warehouse will evolve to incorporate these changes. The most significant changes will be seen in the area of student data with the installation of a new administrative system and PeopleSoft's Campus Solutions Warehouse and later in the areas of Human Resources and Finance as these components of the ERP with their corresponding data warehouse structures are developed.
