New Check-In

This article assumes familiarity with CarolinaContent and Content Server basics, as well as permissions to a set of documents within the system.

To contribute new content such as images and documents to Content Server, open a browser and navigate to the contribution environment (https://ccm-contrib.unc.edu/ccm). This takes you directly to the content server where you can check-in new content items and search for existing content. For more information about the contribution environment, please see “CarolinaContent Overview”.

Click the login link, providing login credentials if necessary.

Once logged in to content server, click New Check In on the top navigation bar and select the type of content that you would like to add from the drop-down menu.

When the new check in form loads, populate the appropriate fields. Note the field names in red are required fields.

Note: The metadata field “Web Sites” must be populated for the content to move from the contribution environment to the consumption, or live, site:

Scroll to the bottom of the form and click [Check In].

Once at the check in confirmation page, click Content Info to see the metadata and progress of the newly checked in content.
