- More than 35 years' experience in the field of information technology with a diverse background in both corporate and university settings. Extensive experience in academic and administrative computing, as well as telecommunications.
- Previously served as Associate Vice President for Technology Integration and Chief Information Officer at Florida State University.
- Directed Computing and Network Consulting Services at Arizona State University.
- Served on the selection, negotiation, steering and budget committees for Florida State’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project.
- Recipient of the 2006 Florida Association of Education Data Systems Technology Leadership Award for “sustained contributions to the advancement and support of educational technology in Florida.”
- Led the effort to define and build the Florida LambdaRail (FLR) and served as the initial CEO. Also served as the FLR representative on the Board of the National LambdaRail (NLR) and currently serves as NLR Treasurer.
- Recently elected to the Internet2 External Relations Council.
- Affiliations include EDUCAUSE, Kuali Student System Initiative, Southeastern Universities Research Association and Northwest Regional Data Center.

- More than 25 years’ experience in information technology with extensive experience in strategic planning for information technology, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation, IT operations, enterprise architecture planning, and enterprise portal and portal-based applications in higher education.
- Manages ITS’ daily operations and responsible for translating organizational strategy into operational objectives and divisional goals.
- Former Executive Director in the central IT organization at The George Washington University responsible for enterprise applications, portal and web presence, data management, IT communications and IT budget management.
- Directed business analysis, strategic planning, data center operations, help desk and data administration as well as medical records management and quality assurance programs in state government.
- Served on the EDUCAUSE Advisory Group on Enterprise Information Systems and Services and on conference program committees.
- Recognized by EDUCAUSE in 2003 with its first Excellence in Administrative Systems Award.

- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the infrastructure and operations function of Information Technology Services.
- Has broad IT experience in IT infrastructure, server/storage hosting, messaging strategies, Blackboard support, portal/Web support and enterprise resource planning support.
- Previously served as director of university computing services within the office of technology integration at Florida State University.

- Serves as UNC Chapel Hill’s Information Security Officer and HIPAA Security Officer.
- Currently serves as the chair for the UNC IT Security Council, which is comprised of information security officers representing the UNC University System.
- Responsible for developing and recommending appropriate data protection strategies to manage risk from information security threats.
- Supports the University’s mission of research, teaching and learning by overseeing the University’s Information Security Program. The Information Security Program encompasses enterprise information, security policy and standards development, network security, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, security awareness and threat and incident management.
- Holds certifications as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP) and SANS Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC-GSEC.)
- Masters degree in Business Administration and undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering.

- Previously held positions include the associate director for academic technology at UNC-Chapel Hill’s College of Arts and Sciences and positions in information technology at the University of Oklahoma and the College of William and Mary.

- Has extensive experience in operating and capital budget preparation, financial reporting, automated financial systems and business software, accounting policies and procedures, human resource management and staff training and development.
- Previously served as director of budget control for information technology at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla., operations budget director for the Pan Am International Flight Academy and director of finance and administration for the Airbus Service Company and Training Center in Miami, Fla. and chief financial officer for Florida LambdaRail, Inc.
- Holds license as a Certified Public Accountant.

- Successfully managed the deployment of small and large computational clusters, shared-memory computers and the staffing and provision of a scientific computing applications support team
